In the short clip from one of her sessions, Laventa is seen warming up before starting a series of fast-paced repeats down the straightaway. Even in the warm-up drills, her stride looks long and fluid. As she begins the interval work, it’s clear she is moving with explosive power.
Her body leans aggressively forward during her drive phase, transforming her forward momentum into even greater velocity. Laventa powers out of the blocks smoothly on each repetition and maintains a low, aerodynamic position. Her form shows the results of extensive technical work to optimize her sprinting abilities.
By the time she crosses the finish line of each interval, Laventa is breathing hard but still carries her speed well through to the finish. The repetition of starts and maximum speed runs is impressive to watch. It’s evident Laventa has put in long hours on the track to refine her pacing and endurance for interval work.

While Ferdinand Omanyala holds multiple African records and represented Kenya in the 100m at the Tokyo Olympics, it’s now apparent his wife holds tremendous speed in her own right. As an athlete who trains daily alongside one of the fastest men on the continent, she has developed world-class pace.
Aside from maintaining her wifely and motherly duties, Laventa also finds time to focus deeply on her running – a testament to her dedication and work ethic. Her social media posts give fans a glimpse into her training regiment. Though she may never pursue sprinting competitively, it’s inspiring to see an elite athlete’s partner training at such a high level.
