Willis Raburu Embarks on a New Chapter After Short but Impactful Stint at TV 47! In a farewell message confirming his resignation from TV 47, media maverick Willis Raburu expressed pride in all that was achieved during his brief yet productive tenure at the station. After serving just eight months, Raburu recently accepted a promotion to Director of Digital Services and Innovation, signalling the closing of one chapter and the start of an exciting new phase in his illustrious career journey.

Raburu’s departure comes as something of a surprise, given his significant 13-year stint preceding it as a household name and fixture on Citizen TV’s programming. However, when the opportunity arose last year to take on a leadership role at TV 47 shortly after its launch, Raburu welcomed the fresh challenge. He hit the ground running, striving to advance the network’s vision from the ground up.

Most notably, Raburu spearheaded the popular show “Wabebe Experience”, co-hosted with MC Gogo. The informative and lighthearted current affairs program proved a big win with audiences. Unfortunately, it was recently placed on hiatus, though Raburu assured fans of its return in an improved format. Despite the short duration of his work there, Raburu expressed gratitude for the fruitful collaboration and results achieved alongside his TV 47 family.

In his new promotion, Raburu will no doubt play an integral part in TV 47’s further digital transformation and online portfolio expansion. With his wealth of industry experience and success in innovating compelling content, he is undoubtedly equipped to propel the company boldly into the future. While sad to say goodbye, Raburu leaves on an upbeat note of pride, optimism and thanks – ready to flourish in the next phase of his storied media journey.

Viewers and colleagues alike wish Raburu the very best in his new senior role, where his visionary leadership will surely drive TV 47 to even greater heights. Though his on-screen presence will be missed, all are excited to see where Raburu’s formidable talents will guide him next.
