Comedian Fred Omondi has tragically passed away following a Friday night accident.
Fred Omondi, younger brother of renowned comedian Eric Omondi, succumbed to injuries sustained in a Friday night accident.
He breathed his last at Mama Lucy Hospital, where he had been rushed immediately following the incident.
According to police reports, the accident happened after a boda-boda carrying Fred was hit by a speeding bus. He was then rushed to Mama Lucy Hospital where he was pronounced dead while receiving treatment.
Fred Omondi, known for his infectious humor and charismatic stage presence, carved out a niche for himself as a popular events emcee after his departure from Churchill Show. In a previous interview, Fred credited his older brother Eric for inspiring him to pursue a career in comedy, a decision that would shape his life and bring joy to countless audiences.
The news of Fred’s passing has cast a pall of sorrow over the entertainment community, with tributes pouring in from colleagues and friends alike.
