Six members of a notorious gang responsible for a series of crimes in Suna East, Migori County, have been arrested following a police crackdown.
Area chief Evans Achola confirmed the arrests, stating that the gang had been terrorizing locals, leading residents to demand action from the authorities.
Preliminary reports indicate that the suspects are part of a gang known as 42 Brothers.
“Two days ago, two people, including a local school teacher, were attacked in Uriri,” Achola said. The victims were part of a group pursuing suspected cattle rustlers.
Police have assured the public that the crackdown on those linked to criminal activities in the region will continue.
