President William Ruto has called on Kenyans to remain calm and patient, urging them to await the 2027 General Election to address any dissatisfaction with elected leaders.

Speaking during the commissioning of the Kibuka Power substation in Kajiado County on Wednesday, President Ruto emphasized that leaders who fail to meet the expectations of their constituents will be replaced in the next election, while those who fulfill their duties will have the opportunity to continue serving.

In an apparent reference to the recent anti-government demonstrations, President Ruto advised Kenyan youth against participating in protests, which have led to incidents of disorder and property destruction. He urged citizens to wait for the next polls to make their voices heard instead of engaging in riots.

He further remarked,

“Nyinyi mtajua huyu amefanya kazi apite; huyu ameshindwa na kazi aende nyumbani. Hakuna haja ya kuharibu amani ya nchi; hakuna haja ulete fujo Kenya.
