Protests erupted in Githurai at 7:00 PM as residents, led by a group of concerned mothers, took to the streets to voice their discontent with what they describe as poor leadership and governance.

The demonstrators, carrying placards and chanting slogans, gathered in large numbers, drawing attention to issues such as inadequate infrastructure, lack of essential services, and perceived corruption among local officials.

The protest, dubbed the “Mother of All Protests,” highlights the frustration and desperation of the community, which has faced prolonged neglect.

Many participants expressed their hope that this demonstration would finally compel authorities to address their grievances.

The atmosphere was charged with emotion as speakers took turns detailing the various challenges facing Githurai, urging their fellow citizens to remain united in their demand for change.

Police presence was noted in the area, with officers monitoring the situation to ensure the protest remained peaceful.

Despite the heavy security, the resolve of the protestors was evident as they vowed to continue their demonstrations until their voices were heard and concrete actions were taken to improve their living conditions.

The event marked a significant moment in Githurai’s ongoing struggle for better governance and accountability from their leaders.
