President Ruto Congratulates Paul Kagame on Re-election for Fourth Term

William Ruto expressed his anticipation of continued collaboration with Kagame on regional and Pan-African affairs, aiming to strengthen the bonds of solidarity and fraternity between Kenya and Rwanda.

President William Ruto has extended his congratulations to Paul Kagame following his re-election as President of Rwanda for a fourth term in a landslide victory.

“I have the pleasure to convey warmest congratulations upon your re-election to serve a further term as President of the Republic of Rwanda,” President Ruto said in his congratulatory message.

He lauded the sovereign choice of the Rwandan people and expressed his wishes for Kagame’s continued success in leading the nation.

“We celebrate with you the sovereign choice of the people of Rwanda and wish you success as you continue steering your country in the path of peace, stability, and prosperity,” Ruto added.

He also expressed his anticipation of continued collaboration with Kagame on regional and Pan-African affairs, aiming to strengthen the bonds of solidarity and fraternity between Kenya and Rwanda.

Partial results released by Rwanda’s National Electoral Commission indicated Kagame’s overwhelming lead in the Monday elections, with 7,099,810 votes, representing 99.15 percent of the total votes tallied. His closest challenger, Habineza Frank, received 38,301 votes, while Mfayimana Philippe trailed with 22,753 votes.
