The Chief Government Pathologist, Dr. Johansen Oduor, has disclosed chilling findings from the autopsies conducted on nine bodies found at the Kware dumpsite near Mukuru Kwa Njenga.

Contrary to initial suspicions, none of the bodies exhibited bullet wounds.

Dr. Oduor reported that one of the bodies had head injuries, while another showed signs of strangulation.

He further revealed that four of the body bags contained severed limbs, specifically lower limbs amputated from the knees downwards, with two right legs and two left legs among them.

“There was also a whole body of a female who we examined and found that she had a head injury,” Dr. Oduor stated.

Additionally, parts of three other female bodies, from the waist to the knee, were recovered.

One of the most alarming discoveries was an upper trunk with clear ligature marks on the neck, suggesting strangulation as the cause of death.

“This brings the total to nine bodies,” Dr. Oduor confirmed.

The bodies displayed varying degrees of decomposition, complicating the determination of causes of death for some. Dr. Oduor explained,

“Bodies which are severely decomposed make it very difficult to assign a cause of death because of post-mortem artifacts, where many tissues are lost due to decomposition.”

Despite the severe decomposition of some bodies, which hindered the assignment of a cause of death, others were less decomposed, allowing for more definitive conclusions.

The pathologist suggested that the sawing off of bodies from the waist likely occurred post-mortem.
