President William Ruto has sent in what seemed as a final warning to Gen Z protesters demanding that the protests that have been happening in the country must come to a stop.
Speaking at a church service in Bomet, President Ruto said that he has done everything that the protesters demanded and it’s now time to act and ensure that the protests come to an end immediately.
“We must guard the peace and the stability of our nation and the democracy of our nation so that is not undermined or sabotaged by faceless, anonymous, formless sponsored people who want to use violence and anarchy and mayhem to control our nation.”
According to the Head Of State, it’s time to protect the nation against protesters who earlier on, he claimed have been funded by Ford Foundation to cause disruption in the country.
“Going forward, we will protect the nation. We will sprotect property, protect lives, stop looters, stop the killers, we will stop anarchy and stop mayhem because kenya is a democratic country and the youths have been heard.”
The President insisting that enough is enough said that it’s time for kenya to be peaceful. Instead of people going to the streets, other democratic means should be used to help kenya move forward.
“We want a stable peaceful nation. Our issues are resolved using democratic means not protests and anarchy. I promise you, it (Protests) is going to stop. Enough is enough.”
President Ruto’s sentiment come as several social media users are planning to do another protest on Tuesday in what they have termed as Occupying Airport in a bid to force resignation of President Ruto.
