A Kayole pastor has gone viral after lecturing Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua on Sunday for the choice of Cabinet Secretaries that President William Ruto named late last week.
Speaking in an event attended by the Deputy President, the PCEA Kayole church pastor used stones to show how the government has failed Kenyans in their quest to build the country.
According to the pastor, to ensure protests cool down and noise stops, cabinet appointments should be done in a manner to ensure only competent and well “curved” leaders are given the opportunity to serve the people.
“When Solomon was building the temple as you’re building the country, there was one thing that stood out, there was no chisel sounds. This is because the stones were carved from the quarry first and therefore, the chisel wasn’t needed on site.”
Using a well shaped cabron and another disfigured stone, the pastor insisted that Gachagua and his boss brought in incompetent people in government and that’s why there is gen z noise everywhere and therefore told Gachagua to pick better stones.
“You are working on a better cabinet, bring on a better stone (qualified nominations) well suited for the positions you pick them for. Don’t bring stones that will bring so much noise during your efforts to build a better country.”
According to the pastor, if Gachagua and the President will not improve on their Cabinet selections, noises will always litter in their governance and they should work to ensure that they have a peaceful tenure.
Gachagua however requested the youth to back down from anti-government protests insisting that the government had listened and acted on the issues Kenyans had raised during the demos.
