Tragedy struck Radio Thome FM just hours after celebrating its fourth anniversary, as the station mourns the loss of two beloved presenters, Stephen Waigwa and Caroline Nyarwai.
The duo was involved in a fatal road accident along the Sagana-Makutano Highway on their way to an overnight church event.
Radio Thome FM confirmed the tragic news in a heartfelt statement, expressing deep sorrow over the untimely deaths of Stephen Waigwa, popularly known as Stevoh Chifu, and Caroline Nyarwai, affectionately called Carol Kams De Luciah.

The accident occurred around 7 p.m. in the Riandira area of Kirinyaga County.
Reports indicate that Waigwa and Nyarwai were riding on a motorbike when it collided with a probox, killing both presenters on the spot.
The two were returning to a church event following the station’s anniversary celebrations.
“They were going back to kesha as both were Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) faithful when they were involved in the car crash,” a source close to the matter confirmed.
The bodies of Waigwa and Nyarwai have been moved to a nearby morgue, where they await autopsy and burial arrangements.
