Molo MP and National Assembly Finance Committee chair Kuria Kimani has publicly forgiven those responsible for the severe attack on his property during the recent anti-government protests.
Addressing residents in Elburgon Town, Nakuru County on Saturday, July 27, 2024, Kimani urged law enforcement officers to drop charges against the youths arrested for the crimes.
“I have forgiven all those who invaded my home, looted, and destroyed my property, including my farm,” Kimani stated.
His home was heavily damaged during the protests, with cars destroyed, properties looted, and even animals stolen.
The violence extended to various public institutions, including Parliament.

A section of the Senate and City Hall was set ablaze, chairs in the lounge area were turned upside-down, windows shattered, and walls destroyed.
The clashes between protesters and anti-riot police were fierce, resulting in several protesters being shot.
Businesses were severely impacted as well. In Kitengela, traders reported significant losses due to looting and vandalism.
Shops were broken into, and public property was destroyed. Road blockages with burning tyres disrupted transportation and daily activities, adding to the chaos.
