President William Ruto has nominated Dorcas Oduor for the position of Attorney General, following a recent cabinet reshuffle.
Oduor who is currently the Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions, is a prominent advocate with extensive legal expertise.
She holds a Master of Arts in International Conflict Management, a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree, and a Diploma in Law from esteemed institutions.
Her appointment would fill the vacancy left by Justin Muturi, who has been nominated for the Public Service Cabinet Secretary position.
This nomination follows the reassigning of Rebecca Miano to the Tourism ministry.
If confirmed by the National Assembly Committee on Appointments, Oduor will become the principal legal adviser to the Government, representing it in various legal proceedings and serving on the influential National Security Council.
