Former Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria has praised ODM leader Raila Odinga for his willingness to join the government of national unity and promote dialogue.
In a message posted on X after a meeting with Odinga at his Capitol Hill office in Nairobi on Monday, Kuria expressed gratitude for Odinga’s role in steering the country away from potential turmoil.
Kuria described Odinga’s efforts as a significant contribution to national stability, stating, “We were unanimous that going forward we cannot continue to prescribe Panadol where surgery is required.”
He emphasized that the ongoing national dialogue must lead to meaningful structural reforms to ensure a lasting solution.
“We will work very, very closely in that endeavor as we continue to consult with other like-minded leaders,” Kuria added, underscoring the commitment to collaborative efforts in the national dialogue process.
Raila Odinga has consistently advocated for constructive national dialogue as a means to address Kenya’s pressing issues.
His support for the new government formation includes the nomination of ODM leaders Hassan Joho, Wycliffe Oparanya, John Mbadi, and Opiyo Wandayi to key Cabinet positions.
