A tragic road accident in Narok County has claimed the lives of four individuals following a collision between a trailer and a Toyota Land Cruiser on Monday afternoon.
The accident occurred around 3:30 p.m. in the Katala Katakala area.
According to an official statement from the Narok Police Station, the crash involved a Shacman trailer traveling from Mulot to Narok and a Toyota Land Cruiser operated by Dalloky Magnifiques Tours Safaris, which was heading in the opposite direction.
“The collision happened after the driver of the Land Cruiser overtook improperly, resulting in a head-on crash with the trailer,” the police report detailed.
Both vehicles veered off to the left side of the road, with the Land Cruiser sustaining extensive damage.
All four occupants of the Land Cruiser, consisting of three foreign nationals and one African driver, were pronounced dead at the scene.
The bodies have been transported to the Narok County Hospital Mortuary, where post-mortem examinations will be conducted.
The driver of the trailer sustained minor injuries to both legs and was treated at the scene.
The damaged vehicles have been impounded and are being held at the Narok police station yard for further inspection.
Investigations are ongoing, and additional details regarding the identities of the deceased are expected to be released in the coming days.
