Survivors of the Saturday morning bus crash that killed two people and injured several others have shared their experiences of the accident. Speaking from the hospital, they described the events leading up to the crash.
According to the survivors, the bus was initially moving at a normal speed but suddenly slowed down significantly just before the accident.
This sudden change alarmed the passengers, who began questioning the driver and urging him to speed up again.
The survivors reported that as the bus neared the Twin Bridge area, it collided with an oncoming lorry, which then hit a nearby car.
They believe the driver might have been suffering from fatigue, which led him to reduce speed and struggle with controlling the bus.
The survivors noted that there were two conductors and a co-driver on the bus.
They had been traveling for a long time when the bus’s speed changed unexpectedly. As they reached the crash site, the bus hit the lorry and then rolled over.
As of the latest updates from Molo Sub-County Hospital, two people have been confirmed dead, and over 44 others have been taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
The families of the injured have been notified about their conditions.
