Three men, including two brothers abducted in Kitengela, Kajiado County, have been found alive and released, bringing an end to a tense search.
The brothers, Jamil Longton, 42, and Aslam Longton, 36, were discovered in Gachie on Friday morning, while Bob Njagi, the Free Kenya Movement coordinator, was found in Thogoto, Kikuyu.
According to Law Society of Kenya (LSK) President Faith Odhiambo, the brothers were dumped at the Gachie border between Kiambu and Nairobi.
“Every prayer and intervention made a difference,” Odhiambo wrote on X.
The three men are currently undergoing medical check-ups before being reunited with their families.
The Longton brothers were abducted on Monday, August 19, 2024, near their Kitengela home by individuals claiming to be police officers.
Njagi was taken the same day from a PSV in Mlolongo.
Their abduction heightened tensions between the Judiciary and the police, following the sentencing of Deputy Inspector General of Police Gilbert Masengeli to six months in prison by Justice Lawrence Mugambi for contempt of court.
