Morara Kebaso, a young and outspoken Kenyan lawyer, has gained significant attention for his sharp criticisms of President William Ruto’s administration. One of his boldest statements came when he declared that if he ever became president,

Ruto would be the first person he would imprison. This comment reflects Kebaso’s dissatisfaction with the current government’s leadership, particularly its alleged failures in delivering on promises and its involvement in corruption.

Kebaso’s criticisms extend beyond Ruto to other high-ranking officials, such as Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, whom he claims is being used as a diversion to distract Kenyans from the real issues facing the country.

He believes that by focusing attention on figures like Gachagua, the government is evading accountability for its shortcomings, especially in addressing corruption and failed projects.

As a civic educator and activist, Morara Kebaso has built a reputation for uncovering fraudulent government projects. He has traveled across Kenya, investigating high-profile projects that were launched with much fanfare but later abandoned.

One of his most significant findings involved a KES 2.5 billion fisheries center, which turned out to be nothing more than an empty field.

These efforts have resonated with Kenyans who are frustrated with the slow pace of development and broken promises from their leaders.

Kebaso’s unique approach to activism includes using social media platforms like TikTok, where he impersonates President Ruto, blending humor with serious civic messages.

He uses his growing influence to educate the public on governance issues and demand greater transparency from the government. He is also working on organizing public forums across Kenya to directly engage with citizens and encourage them to voice their concerns.

Despite facing challenges and potential threats, Kebaso remains committed to his mission of holding the government accountable.

His ability to combine activism, humor, and education has made him a notable figure in Kenya’s political landscape.
