On his 35th birthday, which coincided with Mazingira Day, Babu Owino was met with overwhelming support from Kenyans who sent him monetary gifts through mobile platforms.

The contributions quickly amassed over KSh 370,000, much to the lawmaker’s surprise. In response, Babu took to social media to express his heartfelt gratitude, but he also asked his followers to refrain from sending more money, urging them to keep the funds for their own needs, as he recognized the financial struggles many face.

Babu’s post reflected his deep connection with his constituents. He expressed his empathy by acknowledging that the economic situation in Kenya is tough, and that people should prioritize their needs.

His request struck a chord with many, as it showed a more personal and thoughtful side of the MP, contrasting with his often controversial image.

Known for his vibrant and sometimes polarizing political presence, Babu’s birthday celebration turned into an example of the strong bond he has cultivated with his supporters, particularly the youth.

The generosity shown by Kenyans also demonstrates their admiration for Babu’s leadership, despite the criticisms that have occasionally surrounded his career. His political journey, filled with both triumphs and challenges, has been marked by his vocal activism and bold style.

While many see him as a champion for young people, others have questioned his actions in the past, such as the incident involving DJ Evolve.

Nonetheless, his ability to maintain a loyal following, as shown on his birthday, highlights his ongoing influence in Kenyan politics.

This birthday event serves as a reminder of the complex relationship between public figures and their supporters. While Babu celebrates his milestones, he continues to navigate the challenges of public service, balancing his personal life with the expectations of his constituent.
