Nelson Havi’s recent remarks directed at Moses Kuria have stirred conversation surrounding the potential swearing-in of Kithure Kindiki as Deputy President.
Havi called out individuals speculating about Kindiki’s imminent swearing-in, labeling such comments as misguided.
This came after cryptic messages from Moses Kuria fueled speculation about an event supposedly being prepared for Kindiki’s swearing-in, despite a court order halting any appointment following the impeachment of Rigathi Gachagua.
The situation became more complicated after Moses Kuria tweeted about “preparations” for the swearing-in, accompanied by images of activity at Uhuru Gardens, leading many to believe the event would occur imminently.
However, the court had already suspended the Senate’s decision to impeach Gachagua, raising doubts about the legality of the process.
Havi, in his characteristic direct style, expressed that such speculation was baseless.
The legal battle is still unfolding, with the High Court urging adherence to the suspension. This means any swearing-in would require further judicial clarification before proceeding, but the online buzz continues, with many interpreting Kuria’s comments as political posturing.
