A serious accident recently occurred on the busy Bungoma-Malaba Highway involving a Royal Liner bus and a large fuel tanker.

According to preliminary reports, the accident led to a deadly fire after the two vehicles collided, causing substantial damage to both.

Tragically, at least one fatality was confirmed, with more details on casualties and injuries yet to be fully established as emergency responders worked to manage the scene.

The highway, known for frequent heavy traffic and significant trucking activity, experienced considerable delays due to the incident.

The collision reportedly happened early in the day, and eyewitnesses at the scene described hearing a loud explosion as the vehicles ignited.

Several passengers were trapped, and local residents sprang into action to help, attempting to assist those caught in the wreckage.

Firefighters and emergency services arrived, but their response was delayed, leading to frustrations among onlookers who blamed local authorities for slow action in a critical situation.

The accident highlights ongoing road safety challenges on this major transportation route, where high traffic from trucks and buses often results in severe incidents.

Local authorities are investigating the causes, examining factors like vehicle conditions and potential driver errors.

This tragic accident has further sparked discussions on implementing better safety protocols and emergency response measures on the highway.
