Thousands of Kenyans gathered at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) to witness the swearing-in of Deputy President Kithure Kindiki.

Many citizens, along with government officials, arrived early, some traveling from different regions to be part of this historic event.

This mass turnout highlighted public interest in the new deputy president’s official entry into office, marking a significant moment in the country’s political landscape.

KICC accommodated both seated and standing attendees, with an estimated 10,000 individuals joining to witness Kindiki’s official assumption of office.

Approximately 3,000 guests were seated, while the remaining 7,000 stood outside to show their support. The government coordinated transportation for groups traveling from various areas,

providing special arrangements for those eager to participate in the ceremony.

Security was tight around KICC as law enforcement deployed extra personnel to manage the crowds.

This careful planning underscored the government’s effort to maintain order while ensuring Kenyans could celebrate the swearing-in of their deputy president safely and collectively.
