The National Police Service (NPS) spokesperson, Resila Onyango, has confirmed that four individuals who went missing in December last year, including Billy Mwangi and Peter Muteti, have been found alive.
During a press conference on Monday, Onyango explained that the police would be reaching out to the families of the missing people to offer support and continue with their investigations.
Onyango also reported that Bernard Kavuli, who had been missing and was last seen at Ngong’ Police Station, voluntarily came forward to Moi’s Bridge Police Station today.
He is now helping the authorities with their inquiries.
Billy Mwangi, Peter Muteti, and Rony Kiplagat, who were abducted and reported missing at the Embu, Kabete, and Thogoto Police Stations respectively, have all been reunited with their families.
Their safe return is a relief to their loved ones and the authorities alike.
The police spokesperson emphasized that the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) had already initiated investigations into these disappearances.
Onyango also appealed to the public, encouraging anyone with information about other missing individuals to come forward and assist in the ongoing investigations.
“All information is valuable, and members of the public can report any details to the nearest police station or use our toll-free numbers, 999, 911, 112, or FichuakwaDCI at 0800722203,” she said.
She assured the public that the National Police Service is fully committed to thoroughly investigating these cases until they are resolved and that justice will prevail.
This announcement came just hours after news broke that Billy Mwangi, Peter Muteti, Rony Kiplagat, and Bernard Kavuli had been located in different areas.
Muteti was discovered by good Samaritans in Nairobi’s Central Business District (CBD), while Mwangi was reunited with his family in Majengo this morning.
