Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi has expressed strong confidence that President William Ruto will serve two full terms as Kenya’s Head of State, dismissing any notions of a single-term presidency.
Speaking during the Kerio Valley Interdenominational Prayers in Tot, Elgeyo Marakwet County, on January 5, 2025, Sudi emphasized that Kenya has never had a one-term president and that Ruto’s leadership will continue uninterrupted until 2032.
Sudi criticized online detractors who have been calling for President Ruto’s resignation, labeling their efforts as futile.
He stated that despite the noise from critics, Ruto is not going anywhere and will remain in power beyond the 2027 General Election.
Sudi also condemned divisive politics, emphasizing that any Kenyan, regardless of their community, has the right to lead the country.
In response to suggestions from some quarters about extending presidential term limits, Sudi reaffirmed his commitment to respecting Kenya’s Constitution and the rule of law.
He dismissed proposals for extending President Ruto’s term beyond the constitutionally mandated period, emphasizing that Ruto has eight years left in office and will step down thereafter to allow another leader to take over.
Sudi says that if President william Ruto will not win in 2027 they will find a way of making him stay in power even post 2032!pic.twitter.com/zfa1KzWrE9
