The Nairobi County Government has announced a reshuffle in key executive positions through a notice issued by the Head of the County Public Service Commission.
The changes, which affect several officials, were made in line with Section 45(5) of the County Government Act, 2012.
As part of the reshuffle, Michael Tony Kirpani has been reassigned as the Chief Officer for Social Services in Nairobi City County, taking over from Boniface Nyamu.
In addition, several deployments have been made in the Security and Compliance department, following the provisions of Section 72(2) of the same Act.
New Security and Compliance Appointments:
- Benjamin Omondi Onudi has been appointed as the Director of Security and Enforcement.
- William Kangogo Kangu’ony will now serve as the Acting Deputy Director of Enforcement.
- Joseph Kipsan Kosei has been deployed as the Deputy Director for Community Policing.
- Tom Seme Kath has been assigned as the Assistant Director for Administration.
- Wilson Kiptanui Too will now take up the role of Acting Assistant Director for Operations.
- Bildad Pgweno Tindi has been appointed as the Nairobi CBD Commander.
- George Ken Ara Oari will serve as the Commander of the Debt Collection Unit (DCU).
- Caroline Wairimu Njuguna has been named the Assistant Director for Investigation and Information Analysis.
The Nairobi County Government emphasized that these changes are aimed at improving service delivery and strengthening county operations. The directive, issued by Acting County Secretary Godfrey Akumali, states that the new appointments take effect immediately.
