Super Metro Sends Message to Kenyans After NTSA Lifts Ban

Popular commuter bus company Super Metro has officially resumed its services after fully complying with the requirements set by the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA).

In an announcement made on Thursday afternoon, Super Metro confirmed that it had been given the green light to return to the roads following a detailed review by both NTSA and the Transport Licensing Appeals Board (TLAB).

According to the company, its team had been working round the clock for the past three days to meet all the necessary conditions.

They emphasized that their focus was to ensure their transport services meet the highest standards in terms of safety, reliability, and compliance with all transport regulations.

“Super Metro Limited is pleased to inform the public that we have successfully fulfilled and even exceeded all the compliance requirements as outlined by the NTSA and TLAB,” the company said in its statement.

“We are truly delighted to be back and ready to serve Kenyans once more, offering secure, efficient, and dependable transport solutions to various communities across the country,” the statement continued.

Soon after being cleared to resume operations, Super Metro expressed deep gratitude to its customers, regulatory bodies, and partners. They thanked them for their patience and unwavering support during the three-day suspension period.

The company also promised to maintain full compliance with all regulatory standards moving forward and reaffirmed its dedication to offering outstanding service as it gets back to normal operations. This comes a month after its suspension by NTSA.

The latest update follows a recent decision by Super Metro to temporarily suspend operations for three days to allow for final steps in meeting compliance standards.

On Monday, April 14, the company had issued a public notice informing customers of the temporary halt.

They explained that the Transport Licensing Appeals Board had instructed them to pause their services for three days to complete the remaining compliance tasks.

In the notice, Super Metro stated that they had already achieved 90 percent of the requirements but would fully respect the board’s directive and pause operations as instructed.

“After today’s hearing with the Transport Licensing Appeals Board, the Board has ordered Super Metro Limited to suspend all operations for the next three days so that we can finish the remaining compliance steps,” the company explained in its earlier statement.

“Super Metro Limited respects the authority of both TLAB and the courts. We are working diligently and responsibly to resolve the outstanding issues within the given timeframe, and we will resume our services as soon as we are granted approval from the relevant authorities,” the statement concluded.

Now that the ban has officially been lifted, Super Metro is back in operation and ready to continue offering trusted and quality transport services to Kenyans.
