Six companies based in different parts of the country – three in Nairobi, and one each in Kakamega, Kiambu, and Migori – have jointly announced a large-scale auction involving various vehicles, motorcycles, bicycles, electronics, and household goods.
This comes after the items remained unclaimed, according to a public notice published in the Kenya Gazette dated May 30, 2025.
The auctioneers involved in this mass disposal exercise include Auckland Agencies, Cobbs Auctioneers, Sofina Auctioneers, Simba Corporation, East African Sea Food Limited, and Spectrum Auctioneers.

The motorcycle brands set for auction include TVS, Boxer, and Honda. Owners of the listed items have been advised to retrieve them as soon as possible to avoid losing them during the auction process.
East African Sea Food Limited – Nairobi
Located at Alpha Business Park along the Nairobi Bypass, East African Sea Food Limited announced it will auction or privately sell office furniture and equipment currently stored at its premises. These items will be disposed of if the owners do not reclaim them within 30 days.
According to the company, owners must first clear any storage fees, accrued interest, and additional charges before reclaiming their property. If not claimed in time, the company will proceed to sell the items either by auction or private arrangement.
Simba Corporation – Nairobi
Simba Corporation Limited, situated at the Simba Colt Building opposite Panari Hotel on Mombasa Road, Nairobi, has also declared the upcoming auction of a Mitsubishi Pajero that has remained unclaimed. The vehicle will be auctioned or sold privately within 30 days unless the owner comes forward.
The notice clearly states that the vehicle’s owner must first settle all repair and storage fees, along with any other related costs before collecting the vehicle.
If the car is not claimed within the timeframe, the proceeds from the auction will go toward settling the outstanding bills.
Sofina Auctioneers – Migori
Operating in Migori County, Sofina Auctioneers announced it will dispose of 15 motorcycles and 5 vehicles that are currently held at the Macalder Police Station, should they go unclaimed within 30 days.
The motorcycles include brands such as TVS, Hero Hunter, Boxer, and Honda, while the vehicles lined up for auction include a Toyota Premio, Toyota Runx, Toyota Belta, Suzuki Escudo, and Toyota Hilux Surf. The public has been urged to claim the items before the deadline to avoid forfeiture.
Cobbs Auctioneers – Kiambu
Cobbs Auctioneers has announced plans to auction a Nissan Caravan currently located at Nevis Carwash in Kahawa Wendani, Kiambu County. The vehicle will be sold if the owner fails to collect it within 30 days.
The owner is expected to pay Ksh 309,000 in storage fees, along with any other associated charges. If this amount is not cleared within the given period, the vehicle will be put up for public auction to recover the costs.

Among the items to be auctioned are two Scania prime movers, a trailer, a Muide (possibly a heavy truck or equipment), and a Nissan Matatu. The auction will proceed within 30 days if the respective owners do not retrieve their vehicles.
Final Warning to Owners
All the auctioneers have issued stern reminders that the auctions will be held after 30 days from the gazette notice date unless the listed items are claimed.
In each case, any proceeds from the auctions will be used to offset outstanding debts such as storage, maintenance, or legal fees incurred by the companies or authorities holding the items.
Owners have been urged to act quickly and settle all outstanding dues to avoid losing their property through public auctions or private sales.
