Shock! as Machakos Residents Walks Out Of President Ruto Rally After He Started Attacking Kalonzo

Machakos Residents Walk Out of President Ruto’s Rally After Remarks on Kalonzo

A dramatic moment was reported in Machakos today after part of the crowd walked out during President William Ruto’s rally.

The incident happened while the President was touring the Lower Eastern region to push his development agenda and urge residents to support his administration.

According to early reports shared on local platforms and eyewitness accounts, tension began when President Ruto shifted his speech toward Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka.

The President urged the region not to remain “stuck in the opposition,” a message that did not sit well with many residents who view Kalonzo as their long-time political leader.

Witnesses say that as the President continued making remarks that were interpreted as attacks on Kalonzo, a section of the crowd started leaving the venue.

Some walked away quietly while others murmured in protest. Although mainstream media has not confirmed the walk-out, the reaction highlights how sensitive politics in Ukambani can be, especially when national leaders criticize one of the region’s most influential figures.

The President’s visit was intended to convince the community to support government projects and shift away from opposition politics, but the walk-out shows that many locals still have strong loyalty to Kalonzo.

The incident also signals the political tension building ahead of the 2027 elections, where both sides will be fighting hard for Ukambani’s support.
