Odinga Family Appeals to Kenyans to Support Fundraising for Beryl Achieng Odinga’s Funeral
The Odinga family has reached out to Kenyans of goodwill to help support the funeral arrangements for the late Beryl Achieng Odinga, the younger sister of the late former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
As the family continues to prepare for a memorial service and fundraising activities, they are seeking the public’s support during this difficult time.
In a heartfelt announcement made on Sunday, November 30, 2025, Kisumu Woman Representative and Beryl’s sister, Ruth Odinga, revealed that a Holy Mass and a mini fundraising event will take place the same evening.
The gathering is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. at House No. 5, Mwingi Villas on Mwingi Road in Kileleshwa. Ruth described the event as an evening of prayer, remembrance, and togetherness, inviting friends, relatives, and supporters to join the family in honoring Beryl’s life and legacy.

The family has also provided details for those who wish to contribute financially. Supporters are asked to channel their donations through the Beryl Achieng Odinga Funeral Fund via Paybill: 8002413 and to use their full names as the account number.
The family emphasized that every contribution, no matter how small, would be a meaningful gesture of solidarity during this time of loss.
“Together, we extend our heartfelt comfort and solidarity to the family she loved so dearly. With love, please send your support to: Beryl Achieng Odinga Funeral Fund, Paybill: 8002413, A/C Name: Your Full Name. Rest in eternal peace, Beryl,” the message read.
Beryl Achieng Odinga passed away on Tuesday, November 25, 2025. She is remembered by family and friends as a warm, compassionate, and loving individual, who maintained deep connections with her loved ones.
Beryl was the daughter of the late Jaramogi Oginga Odinga, Kenya’s first Vice President, and Mary Ajuma Oginga.
She was a devoted mother to three children—Ami, Auma, and Chizi—and was widely admired for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering support for her family and friends.
Her passing comes just weeks after the nation mourned the death of her elder brother, Raila Odinga, leaving the Odinga family and many Kenyans in grief.
As preparations for Beryl’s funeral continue, the family hopes that Kenyans will rally to support them, ensuring a fitting farewell to a beloved sister, mother, and member of one of Kenya’s most prominent families.
