YouTuber Iam Marwa Addresses Safety Concerns After Girlfriend’s Reported Incident! Popular Kenyan YouTuber Fredrick Marwa, known to his followers as Iam_Marwa, is desperately seeking assistance locating items stolen from his Spanish girlfriend during a brazen daylight robbery in Nairobi.
Marwa and his girlfriend Rocio had just arrived in the capital city from their rural village on Sunday morning for some sightseeing. But within seconds of arriving in Upper Hill, their trip took a frightening turn.
The entire terrifying crime happened in a span of only two seconds, leaving Marwa and Rocio understandably shaken. Rocio’s bag contained important documents like her national ID, cash, electronics including an iPhone 11 Pro, bank cards, and more.
In an Instagram video of the ordeal, an unidentified man on a motorbike is seen swooping directly up to the couple out of nowhere. In the blink of an eye, he grabs Rocio’s bag right off her shoulder and speeds off down the street.
Though the incident took place outside a police station, the thief evaded authorities. Marwa is now pleading with his large social media following to help identify the perpetrator.
Phone tracking services show the stolen iPhone is currently located in the Mathare slum area of Nairobi. However, recovering it and Rocio’s other possessions seems an enormous task without public assistance.
Marwa expressed disbelief that such a brazen robbery could occur in broad daylight so close to law enforcement. As foreigners unfamiliar with Nairobi, he and Rocio felt they had taken a reasonable precaution by walking in a busy central area.
The YouTuber is asking anyone with information about the theft to come forward to help bring the criminal to justice. Doing so would also reunite Rocio with her personal items and restore some sense of security after the violation.
It remains to be seen if Marwa’s online appeal will succeed in resolving this frightening introduction he and his girlfriend received to Kenya’s capital city. But support from social media could make a world of difference for the shaken couple.
