Octopizzo Offers Words of Encouragement for Khaligraph Jones While Clarifying their “Beef”

Octopizzo Offers Words of Encouragement for Khaligraph Jones While Clarifying their “Beef”! Kenyan hip hop heavyweight Henry Ohanga, known by his stage name Octopizzo, recently delivered an unexpected message to fellow rapper Khaligraph Jones during an interview. The award-winning MC sought to clarify the nature of his alleged ‘beef’ with Khaligraph while also extending an olive branch to his peer.

Octopizzo stated that beef only truly makes sense in the world of hip hop when the artists involved are making money from the conflict through coordinated efforts like simultaneous album releases or joint tours. He stressed that without a commercial element, most rap beef is simply petty entertainment with no real substance or benefit.

The ‘Ivo Ivo’ hitmaker commended Khaligraph for continuing to put in hard work and raise the bar with his music output. “Huyu ni Moria wangu na azidi kuweka bidii. Piga mawe,” he said, using a Swahili idiom to encourage Papa Jones to keep striving. When asked if he’d listened to Khaligraph’s new single ‘Bang’, Octopizzo expressed openness, saying he’d be happy to hear it if the interviewer played it.

Octopizzo’s conciliatory tone came as a surprise given past tensions between the rappers. However, his reasoning stressed the need for beef to drive real industry gains rather than petty social media antics. He also drew a distinction between true artistic conflict for commercial purposes, versus meaningless disputes stirred solely for online attention.

The veteran rapper used the opportunity to school listeners on maximizing hip hop rivalries. For Octopizzo, money remains the ultimate goal – not temporary hype or bragging rights. His logic questions the value of superficial beef without financial returns through strategic team-ups.

By sending an encouraging message to Khaligraph and advocating for more constructive industry cooperation, Octopizzo models a progressive approach. His perspecitive reminds MCs that unity and cross-promotion better serve long-term careers than divisive squabbles lacking real substance or profit motivation.
