Busia: 19-Year-Old Married Man Found Dead in His House in Suspected Marriage Dispute

Busia police officers identified the deceased as Stephen Akhaba who apparently had a marital dispute

Bunyala Officer Commanding Police Division (OCPD) Isaiah Mose confirmed police in Busia began investigations

The whereabouts of the wife of the deceased remained unknown by the time the body was found

Police in Busia county are investigating an incident where a married 19-year-old man was found dead in his house in Sinyenye village in Budalang’i.

he body of the man identified as Stephen Akhaba was found in his house on Tuesday, May 13 by his family.

What happened to the deceased?

According to Bunyala Officer Commanding Police Division (OCPD) Isaiah Mose, the death of Mose resulted from a possible domestic wrangle in the family.

“The deceased indicated a possible case of a marital wrangle in the young family that led to his life being cut short, from a letter he left behind,” Mose said.

Where was Stephen Akhaba’s wife?

According to OCPD as reported by Citizen Digital, the whereabouts of the deceased’s wife remained unknown as she was not around when the body of the deceased was being taken by the police.

However, Mose said police across Busia have begun their search as investigations continue to establish the cause of his death.

” While at the scene the wife of the deceased was not around and her whereabouts are not yet established. Although the search to uncover her hideout has begun as investigations continue,” he said.

The body of the deceased was taken to Port Victoria Hospital Mortuary awaiting an autopsy to determine the cause of his death.
