Nakuru – Five people have died following an accident in the Migaa area along the Eldoret-Nakuru Highway. The Saturday, May 25 accident happened at 3:30am when a 14-seater matatu collided with a truck.
Confirming the incident, Nakuru County Police Commander Samuel Ndanyi said the matatu headed for Nakuru from Eldoret.
Ndanyi revealed that the deceased at the scene included four women and a man The police boss further stated that eight people were rushed to Nakuru Teaching and Referral Hospital with serious injuries.
He added that the bodies of the deceased had been moved to the county funeral home awaiting identification.
“Eight people are currently receiving treatment at Nakuru Teaching and Referral Hospital. The bodies have been taken to Nakuru County mortuary,” Ndanyi said, as reported by Nation.
