Five people have lost their lives in a tragic accident on the Eldoret-Nakuru Highway in the Migaa area

Nakuru County Police Commander Samuel Ndanyi confirmed the incident, stating that the matatu was en route to Nakuru from Eldoret

Among the deceased were four women and one man, while eight others sustained serious injuries and were rushed to Nakuru Teaching and Referral Hospital

The bodies of the deceased have been transferred to the county funeral home for identification, while the vehicles involved have been taken to Salgaa Police Station

Nakuru – Five people have died following an accident in the Migaa area along the Eldoret-Nakuru Highway. The Saturday, May 25 accident happened at 3:30am when a 14-seater matatu collided with a truck.

Confirming the incident, Nakuru County Police Commander Samuel Ndanyi said the matatu headed for Nakuru from Eldoret.

Ndanyi revealed that the deceased at the scene included four women and a man The police boss further stated that eight people were rushed to Nakuru Teaching and Referral Hospital with serious injuries.

He added that the bodies of the deceased had been moved to the county funeral home awaiting identification.

“Eight people are currently receiving treatment at Nakuru Teaching and Referral Hospital. The bodies have been taken to Nakuru County mortuary,” Ndanyi said, as reported by Nation.
