Police are searching for a suspect accused of stabbing a man to death in a suspected love triangle incident in Kisumu.
According to the authorities, the incident happened in Kochogo village located in Nyando Sub County.
The deceased, identified only as Otieno, succumbed to his injuries moments after he was rushed to hospital.
“The 24-year-old was taken to Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital ( JOOTRH) where he died.
Area Chief Alfred Ondola said that the two engaged in a bitter exchange over a woman.
“The assailant then drew a knife and stabbed the deceased in the stomach,” Ondola added.
The suspect, who was positively identified, fled the scene leaving the victim lying in a pool of blood.
Police are following crucial leads in efforts to bring the suspect to book.
