Cabinet Secretary Ababu Namwamba joined family, friends, and members of the creative community to pay tribute to the late reggae MC, Njambi Koikai, also known as Fyah Mummah.

The Cabinet Secretary highlighted how Njambi’s infectious love for reggae music and her role as the founder of Street Empire Entertainment left an indelible mark on Kenyans.
“As a reggae MC, she captivated audiences with her vibrant personality and deep love for the genre,” Ababu added, noting that her influence helped foster a deeper appreciation for reggae across the country.

Njambi Koikai passed away on Monday, June 3, 2024, at Nairobi Hospital following a prolonged battle with endometriosis.

“Let us be courageous in her honor. Njambi loved you, and you loved her. Thank you so much for that,” Njambi’s mother stated.
Njambi’s burial is scheduled for Friday, June 14, 2024, at Langata Cemetery, Nairobi.
