Kiambu – Gatundu South MP Gabriel Gathuka Kagombe has made serious claims regarding the anti-Finance Bill 2024 protests.
GG Kagombe’s claims about Gen Z protests
Speaking at a church service on Sunday, June 23, Kagombe claimed a cultic group popularly known as the Illuminati was sponsoring the anti-finance bill demonstrations.
According to the Gatundu South lawmaker, the protesting youths have been blindfolded by the cultic group.
“People should not use this issue of the finance bill to mislead Kenyans. If you want to discover the truth, look at the videos circulating around. They all begin with something called the Illuminati. The people who are sponsoring demonstrations in Nairobi are called the Illuminati. And our young people have been blindfolded,” Kagombe claimed.
Are foreigners funding Gen Zs demos?
In related news, Government Spokesperson Isaac Mwaura linked foreign players to the ongoing anti-Finance Bill 2024 protests.
In a statement on Saturday, June 22, Mwaura claimed influential international players were financing Gen-Z protests against the Finance Bill 2024.
According to Mwaura, those sponsoring the protests are unhappy with President William Ruto’s recent stand on international matters.
Mwaura pointed out that Ruto’s recent statement regarding Russia’s invasion of Ukraine was one of the reasons foreign powers were funding the demos.
