In a lively celebration in Eldoret, a group of Generation Z youth and local residents gathered to mark the removal of former Roads Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen from office.
The festive occasion included a ceremonial cutting of a cake, symbolizing their sentiments towards the recent Cabinet dissolution by President William Ruto.
The youth and residents in Eldoret expressed their views on his tenure and departure with enthusiasm, highlighting both criticism and support for the President’s decision.
“We want to thank Mr. President for the move that he made yesterday. We are very excited. Mr. Murkomen, I believe you are now jobless, but don’t worry, you are a very good ambassador. We call upon Rolex company to actually give you a job,” remarked one participant, reflecting the sentiments of many attendees.
The remarks were made in response to recent comments by Murkomen during a television interview where he reportedly boasted about owning expensive attire, including a pricey watch.
