In a shocking revelation, Collins Jomaisi Khalisia, the prime suspect behind the gruesome murders of individuals found at the Kware dumpsite in Mukuru kwa Njenga, Embakasi South Constituency, has confessed to killing 42 women.
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) Director Mohamed Amin confirmed on Monday that Khalisia, 33, admitted to his horrifying acts, spanning from 2022 to July 11, 2024, when he claimed his last victim.
Khalisia’s chilling confession detailed how his first victim was his wife, whom he strangled, dismembered, and disposed of at the same dumpsite.
“Upon interrogation, the suspect confessed to have lured, killed, and disposed of 42 female bodies at the dumpsite, all murdered between 2022 and as recently as July 11, 2024,” stated Amin.
The DCI Director further revealed that Khalisia was apprehended in the early hours of Monday morning in Kayole after a joint operation by the DCI and the National Police Service (NPS). The suspect was arrested outside a club where he had been watching the Euro 2024 football finals.
“His arrest followed thorough forensic analysis of a mobile phone belonging to one of the victims, Josephine Owino, where some mobile money transactions were made when she went missing,” Amin explained.
Director Amin emphasized the severity of the case, indicating, “From the look of things, it is crystallizing that we are dealing with a psychopathic serial killer who has no respect for human life.”
As investigations continue, both Khalisia’s house and the dumpsite will remain active crime scenes. As of Monday morning, nine bodies have been recovered from the dumpsite and are awaiting postmortem examinations at the Nairobi Funeral Home, formerly City Mortuary.
