The Kenyan social media landscape was rocked on July 22 by alarming rumors suggesting that Tanzanian gospel singer Bonny Mwaitege had been involved in a fatal accident.

The false news quickly spread, causing confusion and distress among Mwaitege’s fans, who struggled to believe that such a vibrant figure in the gospel music scene could have died suddenly.

In response to the growing speculation, Kenyan gospel artist Stephen Kasolo took to social media to set the record straight.

In a video message, Kasolo addressed the rumors directly and called for an end to the misinformation.

He assured the public that Bonny Mwaitege is alive and well, urging Kenyans to stop spreading false information that could harm the artist’s reputation and cause unnecessary distress.

Kasolo emphasized the importance of supporting and praying for Mwaitege and other gospel musicians, rather than engaging in harmful rumors.
