Former Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya’s unwavering loyalty to ODM leader Raila Odinga has been highlighted through a recently surfaced video showing a dedicated room in Oparanya’s home, reserved exclusively for the party leader.
The video, which aired on KTN’s Art of Living program, reveals a plush room adorned with orange bed covers and luxurious seating, emphasizing Oparanya’s deep commitment to his party leader.
Oparanya’s devotion is further underscored by his meticulous care for the room, which remains untouched by others and is specially prepared for Raila Odinga’s visits.
In the video, Oparanya explains that the room is kept pristine, with the carpet removed to accommodate the high number of visitors during Raila’s stays, demonstrating his respect and reverence for Odinga.
“This room is a very important room; this room is reserved for my party leader,” Oparanya said.
“When he comes to Raila Amollo Odinga, this is where he sits. You can see I have removed the carpet because when he’s usually here, so many people walk in with mud and so on, so I decided to keep the carpet aside.”
Oparanya’s loyalty has recently been rewarded with a nomination to President William Ruto’s Cabinet, where he is among the ODM leaders joining the broad-based government.
The dedicated room, reflecting his long-standing dedication to Raila Odinga, serves as a testament to Oparanya’s commitment to his party and its leader.
