Safaricom PLC has announced a scheduled system maintenance set to take place on the night of Sunday, August 11, 2024.

The maintenance, aimed at enhancing service quality and ensuring continuous innovation, will commence at 11:00 PM and conclude at 4:00 AM on Monday, August 12, 2024.

In a statement released today, Safaricom outlined that during this period, several services will experience intermittent access.

Affected services include Lipa na M-Pesa Paybill and Buy Goods, International money transfers via Western Union, M-Pesa Global, and the M-Pesa and mySafaricom Apps.

Despite these interruptions, Safaricom reassured customers that essential services such as calls, data, SMS, and all other M-Pesa services will remain operational.

“We are continuously innovating and enhancing our services to connect our customers with endless possibilities,” Safaricom stated.

“To meet our promise of delivering superior, worry-free customer experiences, we will conduct scheduled system maintenance on the night of August 11.”

The company emphasized that the timing of the maintenance has been strategically chosen to minimize inconvenience to users.
