Lang’ata MP Phelix Odiwuor, popularly known as Jalang’o, faced a backlash from angry youth during a visit to Nyayo Highrise Ward.
The tension arose due to disagreements about employment opportunities and local development projects.
Many young people felt sidelined in job allocations, particularly in government and event projects.
Jalang’o had previously pushed for 50% of job opportunities at events held in Lang’ata to go to local youth, a move that was met with mixed reactions.
