In a shocking incident, a 21-year-old man from Mwala, Machakos County, walked into Masii Level III Hospital on Sunday night after chopping off his own manhood.

The man, identified as Alex Muthini Mwanzia, arrived at the hospital carrying parts of his severed genitals wrapped in a nylon bag.

According to Mwala Subcounty Police Commander Nancy Jerobon, the case was reported as a self-inflicted assault, with the victim presenting himself for treatment at the facility.

He was later referred to Machakos Level 5 Hospital for further medical attention.

“He took himself to the hospital where he was immediately referred for specialized treatment,” Jerobon confirmed, noting that the man’s motive for the act is still unclear.

Medical staff at Masii Level III Hospital described the scene as distressing, with Mwanzia bleeding heavily upon arrival.

He reportedly told hospital staff that he had deliberately cut off his manhood, though he did not provide a reason for his actions.

Authorities are continuing investigations into the incident as the young man undergoes treatment at Machakos Level 5 Hospital.

Further details on the case are expected to emerge as the investigation unfolds.
