Kimani Ichung’wah, the Majority Leader in the National Assembly, recently faced a challenging situation in Kiambaa Constituency.
During a public event at the launch of the Kiambaa Technical Training Institute, chaos erupted as Ichung’wah accused Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua of sponsoring unrest in the Mt. Kenya region.
Ichung’wah expressed that there was a deliberate effort to hinder development projects spearheaded by leaders loyal to President William Ruto.
He emphasized that despite the chaos, they would not allow such disruptions to derail their work for the people of Kiambaa
The tensions between Ichung’wah and Gachagua highlight a growing rift within the Kenya Kwanza leadership.
According to Ichung’wah, Gachagua aims to undermine Ruto’s influence in the region by creating divisions and inciting violence.
This incident reflects the broader political struggle for leadership dominance in Mt.
Kenya, with Ichung’wah and other MPs asserting their loyalty to Ruto while resisting Gachagua’s attempts to consolidate power.
