Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to check the 2024 KCSE (Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education) results on your phone:

1. Ensure You Have a Reliable Network Connection

  • Ensure your phone is connected to the internet via Wi-Fi or mobile data to access the results.

2. Visit the Official KNEC Website

  • Open the browser on your phone (such as Chrome or Safari).
  • Go to the official KNEC (Kenya National Examinations Council) website: www.knec.ac.ke.
  • Navigate to the KCSE results section.

3. Use SMS to Check Results

  • The most popular method for checking results is via SMS.
  • To check your KCSE results using SMS, follow these steps:
    1. Open the SMS app on your phone.
    2. Compose a new message in the following format:
      • Send an SMS with your Index Number to 20076.
      • Example: Type 12345678901 (your index number) and send it to 20076.
    3. Wait for the response, which will be sent to you with your KCSE results.

4. Check Results Through the KNEC Portal

  • Alternatively, you can check your results directly on the KNEC portal if it supports mobile access:
    1. On the KNEC website, log in using your credentials (if you have registered).
    2. Follow the instructions provided to access your exam results.

5. Get Results from Your School

  • If you are unable to access the results online or via SMS, you can also visit your school. The school will receive the official results from KNEC, and they can provide a printed copy of your results.

6. Alternative Method – USSD Code

  • Some mobile operators may provide an additional way to access results via USSD code. This is typically a feature offered by Kenyan mobile networks. Contact your service provider to inquire if they offer this method.

7. Official KNEC Mobile App (If Available)

  • KNEC may offer a mobile app for easy access to exam results. You can download it from Google Play Store or Apple App Store (if available) and log in with your exam details to check your results.

Additional Tips:

  • Make sure your phone number is registered with the KNEC system to receive results via SMS.
  • Keep an eye on official announcements from KNEC for any updates or changes to the result-checking process.

With these steps, you should be able to check your 2024 KCSE results conveniently from your phone.
