President William Ruto has recently emphasized that his primary focus is on transforming Kenya, rather than seeking re-election in 2027.
During a church service in Sotik, Bomet County, he stated, “I am not planning on being re-elected… My work is changing Kenya.”
In line with this commitment, President Ruto has been actively engaging with various communities to address local challenges and promote development.
For instance, during a visit to Elgeyo Marakwet County, he addressed concerns over regional security and infrastructure, aiming to reassure residents of his administration’s dedication to their well-being.
Despite facing criticism and skepticism from some quarters, President Ruto remains steadfast in his mission.
He acknowledges that while his decisions may be unpopular, they are necessary for the country’s future.
He stated, “We cannot afford to be reckless and populists… I am not ready to be cheered for pulling unsustainable moves that will hurt the people.”
