Oscar Sudi Accuses Gachagua of Schemes Against Uhuru and Matiang’i
Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi has launched a scathing attack on former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, accusing him of hypocrisy and turning against the principles he once championed while in government.
In a video shared on Monday, Sudi claimed that Gachagua masterminded several schemes aimed at sabotaging the political and personal lives of prominent figures, including former President Uhuru Kenyatta and ex-Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i.
“My brothers from the Mountain region, I want to tell you that this man is a master deceiver. If he had been allowed to execute his plans, things would have been far worse.
He wanted to destroy the lives of the Uhuru family, the Matiang’i family, and senior public servants who challenged him,” Sudi stated.
The Kapseret MP alleged that Gachagua had harbored malicious intentions but was stopped by President William Ruto, who, according to Sudi, chose not to repay evil with evil.
“God knows what you wanted to do. All these reforms you now champion are things you wanted to misuse against innocent Kenyans, but you were prevented,” Sudi said.
One of the incidents Sudi mentioned was the 2023 raid on the Kenyatta family’s Northlands farm, where a mob stole hundreds of Dorper sheep.
“Who orchestrated the raid on Uhuru’s farm? Who sent goons to intimidate Uhuru’s son at his gate? It was all your doing.
Yet today, you speak as though you are innocent. You are nothing but a liar, and you know the damage you caused in your short time in power,” Sudi remarked.
Sudi further alleged that Gachagua had plotted to sideline Mount Kenya officials in top government positions by arresting them on false charges to consolidate power.
After highlighting what he claimed were Gachagua’s wrongdoings, Sudi urged Kenyans to see through his alleged deception and not be swayed by his rhetoric.
In a chilling twist, Sudi accused Gachagua of planning a dangerous act during the opposition protests led by Raila Odinga’s supporters, something he suggested could have destabilized the entire country.
“You know exactly what you intended to do during the opposition protests. If we had not been vigilant and stopped you, Kenya would have been in chaos.
You were plotting something dangerous at Serena Hotel. Please, stay out of public affairs. You are a threat to this country,” he warned.
Sudi’s remarks were in response to Gachagua’s Sunday claims that President Ruto orchestrates the controversial speeches delivered by his allies at public forums.
“You claim the President writes our speeches, but even if Kenyans closed their eyes, they would know who is always spewing insults day and night. That’s your trademark,” Sudi concluded.
