Kenya Power Announces Scheduled Power Outages Across Various Counties for Routine Maintenance

Kenya Power has announced scheduled power outages on Wednesday due to routine network maintenance. The areas affected include:

Parts of Nairobi County:

  • Area: Jakaya Kikwete Rd, Milimani (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
    The outage will affect parts of Valley Rd, EACC, Delamare Apartments, Ambassador Court, The Heron Hotel, parts of Ralph Bunch Rd, parts of Statehouse Ave, Middle East Bank, Comfort Hotel, Saggy Suites, Sagret Hotel, Telcom Plaza, Swiss Mount Hotel, Pitman House, DoD, parts of Woodlands Rd, Russian Embassy, China Embassy, Pharmacy & Poisons Board, parts of Jabavu Rd, Jabavu Lane, and nearby customers.

Parts of Nandi County:

  • Area: Moi University, Ollessos Technical (10:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
    Customers in Moi University, Ollessos Technical, Kamunyebaim, Terige, and the surrounding areas will experience a power cut.

Parts of Kisumu County:

  • Area: Nyahera Market (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
    Power will be out in Nyahera Market, Nyahera C/Factory, Dago Market, and nearby areas.

Parts of Kakamega County:

  • Area: Ematiha Market (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
    The outage will impact Ematiha Market, Ewamuhumbi, Shikoti, Eshihoni, Tumaini, Shirakaru, Emukaya, and surrounding areas.

Parts of Kwale County:

  • Area: Mvindeni (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
    Areas affected include Galu Primary, Mwabungo, Muhaka, Kilole, Magaoni, Mvindeni, Romika, Kona ya Musa, Ratinga, Ibiza, Bongwe, Jorori, and nearby customers.

Parts of Kilifi County:

  • Area: Kokotoni (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
    The scheduled outage will impact Kafudini Dispensary, Volcano, Kafudini, Mgadini Primary, Tifu, Kokotoni, Mwangatani, Kibanda Hasara, and the surrounding areas.

These power cuts are part of the company’s efforts to maintain the network and improve service reliability. Customers in the listed areas are advised to plan accordingly.
