Power Blackout Scheduled in Various Areas

A scheduled power outage is set to affect several regions on Monday, as part of routine network maintenance. Below are the areas expected to experience power interruptions:

Central Rift Region:

Parts of Bomet County:

The power interruption will take place between 9:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M. and will affect areas including Sotik, Chepilat, and several other nearby locations. These areas include:

  • Kamirai
  • Chesilyot
  • Kapchepkoro Booster
  • Kapcholyo Secondary
  • Sotik Town (Entire area)
  • KCC Sotik

  • Ndanai (Entire area)

The scheduled power outage for Makutano and Lelan will also occur from 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.. The affected areas include:

Parts of Nandi County:

In Kamobo and Kapsasur, power will be interrupted between 9:30 A.M. and 5:00 P.M. The areas affected are:

  • Kapsasur
  • Kapkangani
  • Yala
  • Kaimosi
  • Chepkumia
  • And nearby areas

Mt. Kenya Region:

Parts of Nyeri County:

The scheduled power blackout for Ihwagi Market and Ragati Tea Factory will occur from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. The affected locations include:

  • Ihwagi C/Fact
  • Ihwagi Secondary School
  • Gathehu Village
  • Gatondo Secondary School
  • Kariki TBC
  • Kiawaiguru TBC
  • Gitema-Ini TBC
  • Itundu Market

  • Kiarage TBC
  • Giakaibei Market
  • Giakaibei Secondary School

In Kiganjo and Athena Primary, the outage will take place from 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. and will affect:

  • Kiang’ombe
  • Kamenu
  • Kenyatta Secondary School
  • Athena Primary School
  • Nearby areas

These areas should prepare for the power interruptions and plan accordingly.
